Speechless.

Wow... The fifth Self Love collection is a fact! I can hardly believe it... They say: don't look back, but live in the now. I fully support that but every now and then I make an exception because I think you should be proud of what you've accomplished. Sometimes you have to stop at the beginning, where you start from zero and your dreams are just... dreams. Recently on ellemillashop's Instagram, I tried to visualize the entire ellemilla timeline with photos from the past 6 years! That was really great for me... And for you guys too! Wow... I've had so many sweet reactions from you 💕 Heartwarming! I am so proud of that! And I should be too!

Perfectly imperfect.

And no it doesn't always go smoothly.... Quite the contrary! It comes with trial and error. But failing and making mistakes are learning processes for me. It only makes you stronger as a person. That is why I like to look back to see how I, as a person, as a mom, as a wife, as a daughter, as a friend... evolved. You get so many lessons out of that, how you are as a person but also about the things you do on a daily basis. 'What do I really want,' 'What makes me happy,' 'What do I love about myself?' When you find the answers to these, only then can you begin to think about how you can apply them to your life! That is what I call self love. Finding yourself again, learning to listen to yourself and re-connect! These don't have to be drastic decisions, but they can be simple things 😊

Self Love

For this fifth Self Love collection, for example, I also went back to basics. Sweethearts, believe me... there are SO MANY possibilities to create when you design a clothing line. You can go as far in that as you like! It's too crazy for words. After days of searching and pinning, I thought.... hmm I make a Self Love collection, then I should just stay close to myself, right? What do I love the most? How do I see it? What is my favorite style?

So I did! I took time for myself, listened to myself, wrote a lot of things down, went out with the boys! Recharging for a while 😊
That felt so good! This was what I needed for the fifth self love collection!

Back to basic.

It all became clear to me! Because the outfits I like to wear the most consist of super comfortable pieces like an oversized sweater or a loose T-shirt on a mom jeans, sweatshorts and dresses in warmer weather, sweater dresses in the fall, after a workday and at the weekend I like to crawl into a comfy set... This was it! I need to go back to basics with basic pieces that are very comfortable with easy and nice fits in ultra soft fabrics. Pieces that you can combine well and that do not have too busy logos, in short: pieces that you feel good in! Of course with the ellemilla touch you expect from me like a leopard print or a little glitter! 🎀

Meet our Self Love Club

Until now we only had T-shirts, sweaters and hoodies in the Self Love collection!

With fits, fabrics and colors that I'm still suuuuper happy with so yes, our beloved oversized 'ARIA' sweater is definitely back in this collection! Also our lovely T-shirt girls 'VEE' & 'KYLIE' are back in the collection hihi!

I've expanded the collection with new models!

Liv is a basic shirt with a loose cut!
What makes Liv so special? Those are the low shoulder seams that Clean are finished with a wide board.

T-shirt Dress 'Samantha'

Samantha is a basic t-shirt dress with an easy fit and an ideal length!

Sweatshort 'Carrie'

For me a sweatshort has to be easy to wear, have a soft fabric and have side pockets... well this one's got it all! The elastic waist has drawstrings.

Jogger 'Kyra'

KYRA is a jogger with a loose fit, elastic waist with drawstrings, side pockets and elastic ankles.

Sweater Dress 'Aria'

I chose the beloved 'ARIA' model but in a long version!

She also falls well long to just above your knees, ideal!

The bottom consists of a rib knit hem.

Mix & Match

I made the collection so that you can practically mix & match everything! That makes it so much fun and so easy for you to combine!

I must add that everything is available separately! I did photograph it for you as complete outfits so you can get an idea of the fun combos 🎀

Sooo get inspired, but above all do your own thing and go for the pieces you will feel best in!

Wild Love.

Anyone who has known ellemilla for a while knows that there always has to be that extra touch! Even if it's a little glitter, an animal print, a heart, the logo, a faux fur lining... you're definitely going to find that in this collection too! I even made sure to get a full leopard & tie dye set... & I'M IN LOVEEEE 💕

Happiness is here.

For the new collection, I spent a long time looking for the right photo locations... but if I listen to myself carefully I know that I can let my inner wild come out in places where I feel good and can be myself!
For me, that's home: home is my happy place 🏡

Also in places where I feel relaxed and carefree
like the wheat field nearby where I do shoots more often 🌾
Oh and I was really searching for a piece of heathland for so long
until LAST WEEK when I was out walking with the boys!
Literally in the neighborhood where we frequent so often, I found THE perfect piece of heathland!

That is pure luck to me... ☘️
Here I did shoot some self love outfits hihi!

After a long search I realized that it could just be very basic after all!
Back to basics with basic pieces that are very comfortable with easy and nice fits in ultra soft fabrics!

Talking about pure happiness. With this collection, I want to emphasize so much that you should seize each day. Often we think that happiness is due to external factors, to successes or achieving goals... you feel happy for a while but that feeling doesn't last! But did you know that you can take care of your own happiness every moment, every day, all by yourself?
